DESCRIPTION
From JND comes their first portrait of an artist, their Jean-Michel Basquiat 1/3 Scale Statue. Taking a departure from fictional characters portrayed by actors, JND took a page out of the art history books to craft one of the most important figures in neo-expressionism and contemporary art. Combining objects with Basquiat's character, the designer, Gox, created a gorgeous and compelling piece.
To capture his personality, Gox put emphasis on Basquiat's facial expression, leaving him with an ounce of defeat to show what emotions the now-famed artist might have felt when he struggled to sell postcards. Putting in the work with KOJUN, Gox and JND's proud production can now find its place in the homes of art lovers and collectors.
