The Hyakki Yakou is the Night Parade of a Hundred Yokai. During the warm summer nights, yokai march through the streets. If any unprotected human bears witness to this event, they will die. In this parade is the Aoandon, a demonic woman who appears after 100 ghost stories are told around 100 lanterns.
Sitting on the moon, she holds an oni mask. With her long hair moving in a summer breeze, she is surrounded by clouds and smoke. This original design based off of Japanese folklore would be a beautiful addition to any art collection.
