Along with his childhood friend (Hashirama Senju), Madara Uchiha founded Konohagakure hoping to bring in a new and peaceful era. Unfortunately, they could not agree on how to keep the peace. After fighting for power over the village, Madara was thought to be dead. However, he used his sharingan to "rewrite" his death and passed his knowledge onto Obito Uchiha before dying again. After being revived again years later, he redeems himself and makes amends with Hashirama before dying permanently.
